Bridging Health Options (BHO) is a national Bariatric Consulting Service – ready to assist your facility in establishing or improving a comprehensive multidisciplinary weight loss surgery Program. Our program goals are:

Promote a high standard of patient care supporting prescribed standards and guidelines within the facility and surgeons’ office,
Enhance the community image of your facility and attract new patients through positive community education/interaction, and
Design a fiscally responsible program. We are not a chain store operation –we assist you in setting up your locally controlled Program.

We have over 40 years of accumulated bariatric surgery and medical administrative experience.

Weight loss surgery is gaining popularity. Some Bariatric Surgical Programs are a professional and financial success. Often we find the reverse – disillusioned hospital CEO’s, frustrated surgeons and a community that turned negative toward the bariatric surgical program and to its hospital. Patients may feel short changed or abandoned. Legal action may be looming. Such a failure is almost always due to lack of a properly constructed “multidisciplinary program” in compliance with standards set by NIH, JCAHO, ASBS and other regulatory agencies. Why are some hospitals successful and others not? More than likely, it is the “Program”. Properly designed weight loss surgery programs may make the difference between success and failure.

Dr. Booth is responsible for bringing the concept of a weight loss surgery program to the state of Mississippi. He began his practice in weight loss surgery in the mid 1960’s. In the mid 1990's, he made weight loss surgery his full-time practice. His vast experience includes general surgery, bariatric (weight loss) surgery, bloodless medicine and surgery, research and education. He has recently been selected to represent the Mississippi State Medical Association on the Governor’s Council on Obesity and has since been elected to chair the Council. He has numerous published articles and is invited frequently to speak all over the country due to his extensive weight loss surgical experience.

Anne possesses years of healthcare administration and professional nursing experience. She has held management positions in both the hospital and the community setting. She holds a Master’s degree in Nursing (Adult Health).
